Happy 2012 to you all, hope you had a great holiday & you’re all ready for some more dark alternative sounds in the coming year…I’ve got a whole load of cool stuff planned so stay tuned.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report my site, thought you might like to check it out…

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 3,400 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 57 trips to carry that many people.

new song and new video: 8-bit Wonderland

•December 20, 2011 • Leave a Comment

So, the holiday season is nearly upon us and as a little gift from me to you, I’d like to give you this new song & video…

The track itself is from a not-yet-released album of mine which consists of mainly dark electronica as you’ll hear from this particular piece.

I wanted to create a suitable video featuring trippy, blocky 8-bit graphics which I think fits the music perfectly.

So enjoy the video, enjoy the holidays & I wish you all the best for 2012.

Until next year, Tony.

The photographer of Between Darkness and the Light

Talented photographer Luke Addison is the man behind giving my latest album, Between Darkness and the Light, that very distinctive look. Luke recently posted a small piece about my album over at his website where he talks about the origin of this particular photograph. Read it here http://evophoto.co.uk/tony-longworth-cd-case-photo/ and while you’re there, make sure to check out his other excellent work http://evophoto.co.uk/

Can you survive 48 Hours In Purgatory?

•November 23, 2011 • Leave a Comment

The amazing indie movie 48 Hours In Purgatory from Skeleton Key Films is getting its official release early next year. It’s a dark, twisted tale about our inner demons & I can highly recommend it, not only because I wrote music for it, but because it’s a really cool movie.

And to celebrate the release, Skeleton Key Films are launching a very crazy contest to promote it. How crazy you ask? Well it’s the type of crazy where if you “win” you’ll be locked in isolation for 48 hours with only your inner demons to keep you company while the entire world watches your every move live on internet.

In the words of the filmmakers:

The experience will include interaction with ACTUAL MEMBERS of the crew from 48 Hours in Purgatory, a realistic purgatory experience at a mystery location, and the opportunity to interact occasionally with those watching on the world wide web

Watch the video below or visit skgfilms.com for more information on how to enter. The deadline is 25th January 2012…good luck, YOU’LL NEED IT !!!

new album release: Between Darkness and the Light

•October 13, 2011 • Leave a Comment

My latest album is now available in both CD and digital format. Featuring a massive 24 tracks & weighing in at a hefty 64 minutes, this album is an aural journey through landscapes unimagined, forcing the unwary traveler to ponder the dark mysteries that dwell within and around us.

An ideal toolkit for theatre and film alike, this release seamlessly crosses from lighter, uplifting pieces to the dark and downright evil. Never quite knowing what is coming next, Between Darkness and the Light will continually keep the listener guessing and engrossed until the very end.

But enough talk, go take a listen & grab yourself a copy from these main outlets:

STOP PRESS: for a limited time only you can save $2 on the CD & digital version of the album from CD Baby, that’s just $7.99 & $3.99 respectively — click the CD Baby link above & get yourself a copy before it’s too late !!

Please help me publicise this new release by posting the following graphic anywhere & everywhere linking to http://www.tonylongworth.com/ - click on the graphic for a high res version. Thanks, I really do appreciate the help.
